Douglas Adams

"Douglas Adams (1952-2001) was a British author, humorist and screenwriter. Adams is best known for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which began as a BBC radio series and evolved into five books. His work blended science fiction with absurdist humor. Adams also wrote for Doctor Who and created the Dirk Gently detective novels. An advocate for environmental causes, he co-wrote Last Chance to See. A technology enthusiast, Adams was an early adopter of email and coined the term interactivity."
