Sunita Pant Bansal started writing poems and stories at the age of 8 and has not stopped since. She practised as a nutritionist for a couple of years before deciding to follow her passion. In her four decades of writing career, she founded a weekend newspaper and three magazines, and edited five; she also wrote numerous articles and produced a short film. Sunita hails from the Kumaon hills of the Himalayas, a region well known for its crop of littrateur. She started exploring mythology and its impact on our culture. Her forte is decoding Hindu scriptures to show their relevance and application in todays times. She has authored hundreds of books for children and young adults on folk literature and mythology. For adults, her genres cover body, mind and soul, with her books being sold in multiple languages globally.
