Zhuge Liang, also known as Kongming, was a Chinese statesman, strategist, and inventor who played significant roles during the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty and the early Three Kingdoms period in China. He served as the Imperial Chancellor of the state of Shu Han from its founding until his death, also acting as regent for a period.
