Originally printed in 1946 this book chronicles the 134th Infantry Regiment's history from the time they landed at Omaha Beach July 5 - July 6 1944 until they returned to the United States aboard the Queen Mary after the war's end. In the process they liberated or captured 124 towns and suffered more than 10200 casualties including over 1200 soldiers who were killed in action. It includes many photographs and rosters of soldiers awarded the Medal of Honor Distinguished Service Cross Silver and Bronze Star Medals; roster of men killed in action; list of towns captured or liberated; Unit Commanders and Staff; and a Regimental roster upon entering combat.
