يَكْتُبُ جَدُّ شادي قِصَصًا مِنْ طُفولَتِهِ الَّتي أَمْضاها في القَرْيَة. وَيُقَدِّمُ هَذِهِ القِصَصَ لِحَفيدِهِ الَّذي سُمِّيَ عَلى اسْمِهِ، لِيَقْرَأَها. شادي الصَّغير، طِفْلٌ فُضولِيٌّ يُحِبُّ اكْتِشافَ العالَمِ مِنْ حَوْلِه. ذاتَ صَباحٍ بارِدٍ، فُوجِئَ إِذْ وَجَدَ كُلَّ ما حَوْلَهُ أَبْيَض: إِنَّهُ الثَّلْج! هَيّا نُرافِقْهُ في مُغامَرَةٍ شَتَوِيَّةٍ، وَنَكْتَشِفْ مَعَهُ تَبَدُّلاتِ الطَّقْسِ وَالطَّبيعَةِ في هَذا الفَصْلِ البارِد.عِنْدَما كَتَبَت إملي نصرالله لِلأَطفال، كانَتْ جَدَّتُها هِيَ المَصدَرَ الأوَّل لِلقِصَّة، يُنْبوعها، وَعلى حَدّ قَوْلِها: لا يُمْكِنُنا أَنْ نَكتُبَ لِلأَطْفالِ إِلّا إِن كانَ ثَمَّةَ طِفلٌ لا يَزالُ صاحِيًا في كَيانِنا.Shadi's grandfather writes stories from his childhood which he spent in the village. He gives these stories to his grandson who was named after him to read.Little Shadi is a curious child who loves exploring the world around him.
