Set in early 21st century the story is about how a young girl Sameeksha (Sam) gets into the process of groom’s search in an arranged marriage system. Sam kept pondering whether marriage was necessary. Would it solve her life’s problems or aggravate them? However noticing that most of her school and college friends as well as cousins who were a few years younger were already married and had one or two children intensified her sense of societal pressure. The book unfolds how Sam met her soulmate and he became the perfect match. The story also highlights the challenges a bride’s family endure and navigate which may be time consuming and painstaking.
