42 Purifications

Utterance (Spell) 125 of the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead includes a list of 42 enigmatic statements concerning what a person did not do in their lifetime used as ritual purifications to prepare their soul for the final judgment and an eternal afterlife. This book represents an expanded and annotated reprint of an original 2003 Imhotep Seminary Press chapbook of English translations for the original 42 purification statements contained in Utterance 125 along with meditations on what they can teach the living about ethical behavior.
