50 Questions? : The Life Struggles of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

This forgotten saga “The life struggle of Dr. Ambedkar” by Ram Chandra Banaudha is the First biography of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar published in 1947 (before independence of India) during his life time. The book highlights the hypocrytic ideologies towards pseudo nationalism of Gandhiji as perceived by Dr. Ambedkar. As one reads the book one can feel the courage and determination of Sri Ram Chandra Banaudha by just imagining the hardships of writing the facts about life of a person like Dr. Ambedkar who was always an eyesore for the Mahatma Gandhiji and a criminal for his congressmen and the print media controlled by them in an era even before independence and formation of Indian legislature before 1947 and then getting it printed in the Gandhian era of congress when all print media was controlled by congress. The book unfolds tier by tier facts of Gandhian ideology and inclination of the British Government to make Indian Legislature. No doubt the book disappeared after 1947 and was never allowed to be printed almost for half a century. The author met accompanied and interviewed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on train journeys and subsequently meeting with him in Delhi and asked him 50 odd questions which became the basis of this biography published in the life time of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. And none other than legendry leader Mahapran Jogendra Nath Mandal “Tiger of Barisal” wrote the introduction of the book.
