This is a collection of stories about the lives of the four generations of people born in the twentieth century. The senior generation were the people who survived two world wars a few revolutions and two total collapses of state regimes. Some of those who witnessed the fall of the Russian monarchy lived to see the end of the USSR and the birth of a new Russian state. People of the youngest generation were born and grew up in a soviet atheistic state but started their adult lives in a totally new and a rather religious environment. The memories some of those people shared with the author of this book were the inspiration for most of its stories. Some stories are full of fun and adventure some are more philosophical but none of them are bitter. The author hopes the readers will find it entertaining. The book is written in Russian. The English version is in progress.
