<p>Under the guidance of historical materialism this book mainly takes the theory of economic and social forms as the central clue and uses system theory as the basic method. With the facts of historical evolution in-depth discussions were conducted on the categories of exploitation class economic and social forms and socialist society. According to the requirements of the system theory method its basic connotation and basic structure are summarized and analyzed and the overall structure of society is analyzed. The analysis puts forward the basic insights of historical materialism on the nature form and evolution laws of society which is an update of the principles of historical materialism.
