A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GENOCIDE AGAINST THE SYRIAC ARAMEANS

In 1915 genocide was committed against the Arameans and other Christian minorities in the Ottoman Empire. An ethnic massacre that is known as the Armenian genocide. In this book Johnny Shabo impressively illustrates how the genocide against the Syriac Arameans took place. By using a variety of sources he presents a balanced picture of this dark chapter in world history. Drs. Shabo was for many years chairman of the Federation of Arameans (Syriacs) in the Netherlands. He has played a prominent role in the process of increased awareness of the genocide of 1915 which took place in the Ottoman Empire. Through lectures speeches articles and intensive lobbying he has managed to bring attention to this nearly forgotten atrocity. It is of great importance that this book now reveals the willful strategy and causes of this genocide as the descendants of the survivors were again victims of genocide this time committed by ISIS - Dutch House of Representatives member dr.
