A Buchan Boy

Buchan once part of the Pictish kingdom is now one of six Administrative areas of Aberdeenshire County Council Scotland. It has a considerable ancient history. This story A Buchan Boy starts with a young man volunteering for active service and looks at his life his growing up in an extreme NE corner of Scotland the Fraserburgh of the1920s. Since Hubert Mitchell wrote A Buchan Boy and printed it for his immediate family in Australia many have visited Fraserburgh. Now 18 years on Averil Mitchell has decided to open the family story to a wider audience in the hope that a new generation will take a look at the historical background of a family in the Fraserburgh of the1920s.
