A Call to Unite

What kind of world are we leaving to our grandchildren?<br>Will it be the same spectacle of continues war-mongering slavery and exploitation that has been the main feature of history to this point? Even today economic systems are designed to maximize resource and labour extraction and minimize benefits to workers and communities especially in the Global South.<br><br>Will we survive the climate crisis that is upon us now? How do we maintain and restore trust in well-researched sciences that warn us about our eco-destructive activities and provide us with safe medical defenses against myriad diseases?<br><br>We can create a better world if we learn from our past but to do that we must know our past. As revisionist forces attempt to eliminate our moral insights and understandings about what the powerful have inflicted on societies around the globe it is more important than ever to chronicle those deeds.<br><br>What about our interpersonal relationships? How do we craft non-competitive societies that don't appeal to envy or require exploitative corrupt and manipulative behaviour to function? We always do best when lean towards inclusive models and away from fearing or using others.<br><br>Over a series of essays and poems join Nasreen Pejvack in discussing these issues and considering how we can all work together for a better world.
