نداء القرنفل-A Carnation's Call

In this story time is a decisive element it makes room for different generations that rarely survive what they have inherited. Some families ascend socially while others end up in slums. It's a constant race to pounce on spoils. Spouses stand in front of each other's mirrors despite the fact that leaving is the only choice. Dreams and quests consume their owners. This novel's intersections are also decisive just as the funeral of Aziz Pasha coincides with the crowd of protestors demanding that Gamal Abdel Nasser withdraw his resignation.
