A CASE FOR THE COMMISSIONAIRE

Harry Paine an ex-soldier and ex detective constable is now a humble commissionaire presiding over an office block in London who frequently finds himself brooding on what might have been if he had been able to pursue his police career. The chance to do so unexpectedly occurs when a body is discovered in the garage of his office block and he is asked to keep his ear to the ground by the DCI. Following his policeman's nose Harry becomes involved in the case and 2 further murders before offering himself as bait for the killer in a deadly rooftop showdown.
