The current prolonged case study is expected to contribute to the field of bilingualism children language acquisition and consequently to the field of language learning and teaching through highlighting how the four bilingual children under study behaved in regard to their two languages. In addition the data collected from the four children were compared to the data gained form other bilingual children with similar backgrounds and context. The study also attempted to provide detailed explanation of the different reasons that lead the children to code-switch and the functions this behavior serves to help bilingual children communicate more efficiently and properly.
