A Character turns upon the Author : The Writer as a Person

<p>A stranger barges into a meeting of British-Indians in London and asks them to denounce an eminent immigrant-writer who has revealed his &ldquo;immoral&rdquo; past. So they stop chattering about the daughter problem and other discontents of the Diaspora and begin an unprecedented literary discussion. They talk of the writer as a person. They talk of migration and mimicry seduction and sex brothels and buggery. A dramatic twist in the tale transforms the stranger&rsquo;s life.</p>
