The night was dark. The stars were bright. When in the twinkling of an eye everything changed. The long-awaited miracle had come at last! And to think to us shepherds out in the field taking care of our sheep angels from heaven announced this great news. Shepherds have gathered their sheep together for the great feasts when to their astonishment Angels appear to them one dark night announcing the birth of the Savior of the World Jesus. From fear to hope to great joy the shepherds run to Bethlehem in search of the new-born King of Kings. There they witness the long-awaited miracle of God becoming man and their lives are forever changed by all that they see and hear that night.
