A Conurbation of Clouds

After reading my Book Through Golden Glades Wasi Saab was happy . He sent me about six Ghazals translated into English by someone from Lucknow. I liked them very much. I was so taken up by them that I reinterpreted them in my own words into English and sent them on WA to Wasi Saab. He then sent me his Book Baadalon ke Shahar and asked me to translate them. I did it in eleven days and sent him back the Book. He said I could go ahead and publish it too. This was a joyful instance for me and it sure was going to give me and my writings a new dimension. I cannot read Urdu script. So the Book he sent me was in Devnagari script it made my work easy . And here it is before you. It was a sweet and exciting experience translating those couplets from a language so varied and sweet. I am thankful to Ahmad Wasi Saab for this gesture. I have adhered to the original text almost entirely for it translated so well into English even as I was reading the original I immediately repeated the English transcription in my mind as I penned them down. Now it is for my Readers to decide and declare the truth!
