Avrian Heydon is a wealthy and handsome duke whose whole world turns upside down and inside out when he bound by his word becomes the unwilling guardian to a stranger's granddaughter whom he believes to be six or eight years old but later discovers that she is really a very beautiful young Christian woman with very definite ideas about how he should live his life.
