A Father's Thoughts

The content of this book was written in 2009 in a journal to my son Derek. This was my response to his request for whatever advice I might be able to share with him in regards to becoming a father. I have simply gathered here a collection of my thoughts and feelings based on my own experiences my observations along the way and my instincts.I do not recall giving much thought or concern to the prospect of becoming a father. I simply accepted that I was chosen to do so. Of course I hold my own influences of family and society of both the subtle and the not so subtle variety.All I knew for sure was that I felt chosen to be a parent I would just do my very best and felt confident that would be sufficient simply allowing myself to be guided by my own intuition along the way.
