A Game of Thrones. From Novel to TV

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2013 in the subject American Studies - Miscellaneous grade: 13 Dresden Technical University (Anglistik / Amerikanistik) course: Kulturwissenschaften - Nordamerika language: English abstract: This thesis takes a closer look at the adaption process from the novel A Game of thrones to the popular TV series with the focus on a a structural comparison and the alterations from the novel to the series. A shift in the depiction of characters fidelity aspects and political statements of the installments are also considered. Last but not least this thesis takes a closer look at the level of illicitness in the series and if there is an equivalent in the novel.
