At fifteen Dub looses his mother the orphaned young man sets out in the middle of the night for a new beginning. At nineteen he meets and falls in love with Ellie the daughter of an Arkansas farmer. Together they set out for the Indian Territory. A hard life for man woman and child made even more difficult when tragedy strikes.
