A Grievous Burden

Jim and Janet are overjoyed with their adopted baby but are dismayed when at eighteen Jenny leaves home to live with Steve a store security guard. Difficulties follow Jenny. Her father is killed on a trip to Las Vegas. Jenny determined to marry Steve gets pregnant. Steve has other ideas and leaves to live with another girl. When Steve loses his job he returns to Jenny. She pretends to commit suicide when he again refuses to marry her is taken to hospital and has a miscarriage.The story follows Jennys troubles when after therapy sessions they discover her problems are a result of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Time and her mothers love bring her life back into focus.
