About The Book

This book has been written to act as a guidebook for a wide range of readers including veterinary UG and PG students in colleges and universities veterinary practitioners in government service and others who are involved in studying an aspect of parasitic diseases of animals. The text begins with the introduction to general parasitology in Chapter 1. Many students will be familiar with this introductory part. This is followed by multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and fill-in-the-blank questions related to general aspects of parasitology.Chapter 2 introduces helminthology where a brief description of phylum platy helminths (class – Trematoda and class – Cestoda) and phylum Nemahelminthes (class – Nematoda) have been given. Some descriptions are illustrated with graphics and pictures. The chapter ends with different types of questions.Chapter 3 comprises fundamental concepts of Entomology and Acarology along with types of question patterns. Chapter 4 covers general features of protozoology for overall understanding followed by several questions. Chapter 5 deals with questions related to diagnostic parasitology.Chapter 6 is all about questions on zoonotic parasitic diseases. Chapter 7 sets questions related to immuno-parasitology. Chapter 8 focuses on previous exam papers.
