Most of the students who choose Psychology as a subject for B.A program in Kashmir do not have background knowledge of it for the reason that psychology in Kashmir is hardly offered at the secondary level and that most of the students choose this subject afresh after passing 12th examination in other subjects including medical & non-medical ones.
