Shedd of the said District have deposited in this office the title of a book the right whereof they claim as proprietors in the words following to wit: A History of the State of Vermont from its discovery and settlement to the close of the year 1830. By Nathan Hoskins.-'Illi libertate adepta floruerunt.' GOVE Clerk.</p><p><br></p><p>This history includes geography flora and fauna discovery Indian tribes surrender of Canada to Great Britain civil policy from 1760 to 1775 first settlement controversy and claims of New Hampshire and New York and Massachusetts establishment of state boundaries the floods of 1811 and 1830 the War of 1812 and the unusually cold summer of 1816. It also gives an overview of counties towns the courts revenue and expenses of the government population tables banks militia colleges and religion. An index to names completes this work.</p>
