A Holistic Thermal Overview of the Integrated Data Center

A data center can be defined as a space that houses and delivers information technology (IT) services such as telecom compute storage or usually a mix of all aforementioned. IT equipment has three major requirements to guarantee functionality space power and sufficient cooling. The Integrated Data Center can be defined as a computing/storage environment where the design of the IT and the architecture of the data center are compatible to maximize service delivery and uptime. This book addresses the thermal characteristics of servers and their interaction with different data center cooling solutions through a set of multi-level experiments and numerical models.
