About The Book

Dr. Richard E Jaggers (1891-1973) was a life-long Kentucky educator whose career progressed from a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse to an Associate Dean of Instruction of Graduate Studies at Eastern Kentucky University. This collection of poems was written over a span of 45 years. The earliest was written in 1910. This is an unabridged republication of a collection of Dr. Jaggers' doggerel published in 1978 by his oldest son Gerald Jaggers. Now 40 years later Dr. Jaggers' Doggerel is available in print again. This book has the same title and the same poems in the same order. You are invited to enjoy Dr. Jaggers' love memories visions humility gratitude and insights in his own words!
