A Kiss with Death

<p><em>Carter</em></p><p>I couldn't remember the last time I'd craved the touch of a living person so badly. This woman was irresistible to me and yet I couldn't allow myself to have her. Supernaturals like her didn't belong with a thing like me.</p><p>While I didn't take the souls of the dead to the afterlife or drag the evils of the world into Hell I did something much worse. For her safety it was paramount for me to stay away.</p><p>Then her father came to me demanding I bring her home. As a member of the vampire council telling him to go shove it wasn't an option nor a war I wanted to wage.
