A Knight's Conquest

Wounded at the Battle of Hastings; Grand Master Knight Lucas was unable to ride with William of Normandy to London to claim the throne. Instead the duke ordered Lucas to lead his men to conquer Saxon land and make it their own. They rode to Sussex and overthrew Alford Castle. Her father killed while defending their home against the Norman invaders his oldest daughter Angelica became Lady of the Castle. She and Lucas clashed at their first encounter. She refused to obey his rules and defied his every word. In his struggle to make the lady bend to his will Lucas fell in love with Angelica instead. A love she soon reciprocated. Despite their constant bickering the tragedies and heartaches they experienced their love for one another remained strong.
