A Leap of Faith

<p>After the horror of seeing her mother and stepfather swept away by a hurricane sixteen-year-old Courtney finds herself alone in the floodwaters. Discovering a small boat she escapes the treacherous currents but is drawn to another object floating in the debris: an infant seat. And within it a baby girl miraculously alive.</p><p> </p><p>After taking temporary refuge in the upper floor of a church Courtney’s faith is reignited by Bible verses painted on the walls and food diapers and formula found in the nursery. At last she and the baby are found by a rescue crew but Courtney’s story of survival has just begun. Her stepfather a frightening man with a dangerous past has survived the storm.</p><p> </p><p>Desperate to find a safe harbor for herself and the baby Courtney moves from shelter to shelter finally finding a home with the wealthy grandparents of another young hurricane survivor. Even there however safety is an illusion. Courtney’s stepfather will stop at nothing to find her and ensure his secrets remain hidden.</p><p> </p><p>As danger looms Courtney’s faith grows and God provides the courage she needs to face her fears—and her stepfather. But bravery does not always translate into survival . . . and following God’s plan may require Courtney to take a giant leap of faith.</p>
