A Life Begun on Third Base

After growing up in a world surrounded by icons of mid-century professional sports John S. Martin Jr. enjoyed a legal career that spanned almost six decades and over that time he touched many of the most prominent events in national and New York City politics government and business. In addition to private practice Martin served as an Assistant to the Solicitor General of the United States Thurgood Marshall; as Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York; United States Attorney for the Southern District; and United States District Judge. A Life Begun on Third Base is filled with wisdom anecdotes and appreciation for his professional life and a personal life enjoyed with his wife Peggy and four children.
