A Little Princess

The story is about a young girl named Sara Crewe who is sent to a boarding school in London by her father a wealthy and loving widower. Sara is a kind and imaginative child who loves stories and finds joy in making friends with the other girls at the school. However Saras life takes a dramatic turn when her father dies and his fortune is lost leaving her penniless and at the mercy of the cruel and jealous headmistress Miss Minchin. Sara is forced to become a servant at the school but she refuses to give up hope or to abandon her sense of self-worth. Throughout the story Sara remains kind and generous even in the face of hardship and injustice. She continues to believe in the power of imagination and the goodness of others and her strength and resilience inspire those around her.
