David the warrior and king of Israel was also a poet and the author of most of the book of Psalms. Through his psalms we see the emotional turmoil and hardships David walked through. On the other hand many psalms are praise for Gods goodness and power and even the ones that describe suffering they conclude with the truths about God and reality. God is good and sovereign. He never forsakes his people and He is their salvation. The wicked will perish and the righteous shall one day be rewarded.
