Love imagination and patriarchy are the main themes in the play. The playwright portrays romantic love as a blind and often beautiful force that can be both cruel and forgiving. These groups comprise party of Theseus the young lovers the fairies and the would-be actors. The main symbols in the play are the moon roses and the love potion.
