About The Book

Shakespeares linked love triangles get tricky right away because Hermia only has eyes for Lysander despite Demetrius and Lysander both wanting her. The bad news is that Demetrius is wanted as a son-in-law by Hermias father. Helena whose unrequited love for Demetrius burns hot is on the outside. Hermia and Lysander intend to depart the city at night but Demetrius is after them (and he is being pursued by an enthralled Helena). Unbeknownst to the humans Oberon and Titania the King and Queen of the faeries are arguing over a servant boy in the forest. When Oberons chief troublemaker Puck gets loose with a flower that makes people fall in love with the first thing they see when they wake up the tale takes an unexpected turn. The issues get incredibly comical when you add in a group of labourers working on a play for the Dukes wedding (one of whom Puck gives a donkeys head and Titania as a lover).
