A Miscellany of Thought

This book comprises a collection of articles published in The Island newspaper in Sri Lanka. These articles covered several topics such as literature and culture politics and society religion and health mainly Covid. In the area of literature some articles reviewed novels and other books and dealt with the subject of literary criticism. Politics in Sri Lanka with its many inherent issues were analyzed with a detached attitude. Several articles on Buddhist philosophy and the development of schools of Buddhism with different philosophies were published. Covid was a new infection that devastated Sri Lankan society and its economy. Few letters were written on this subject also.
