<p>Atoms though incredibly small give rise to molecules molecules to matter. Matter constitutes universe.Obviously we being a part of universe are interested due to our inquisitiveness in knowing the source i.e. atom. the knowledge assumes appreciable significance due to the core of the atom i.e. nucleus being store house of tremendous energy known as nuclear energy which is a viable option for meeting the need of carbon free electrical energy. Unforunately the information about atom is not available in books of a single subject part of it is available in chemistry books but information related to the nucleus i.e.central part of atom energy stored in it etc.is provided in physics books.with this in view it was considered worthwhile to consolidate the whole basic information in a single book a of ATOM (for an inquisitive). I am sure the book would pacify the need of acquiring basic informatin about atom at one place.</p>
