A Point to Ponder

<p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Reading the Bible is profitable. It promises a blessing to those who read. (Revelation 1:3). Beyond reading it the Bible repeatedly exhorts us to meditate on it (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 12; etc.). So we should not just read the Bible we should give it considerable thought. We should ponder its interpretation and application.</p><p>In <em>A Point to Ponder</em> G. Michael Cocoris has pondered verses in the Bible. He covers at least one verse from each book of the New Testament and 15 books from the Old Testament. In two-page articles the truth of the verse or passage is applied with thought-provoking ideas and stimulating stories. In an index at the end of the book the verses covered are listed in the order in which they appear in the Bible.</p><p>Those interested in what the Bible teaches will find this book a simple short way to digest some of its truths. Those who teach the Bible will discover a rich source for illustrations.</p>
