As a teenager he wanted to be a famous rock musician. He pursued that for a while with some success in a band called 'Jacob's Mouse' but decided to do something less selfish with his life and became a mental health worker which he did for the next twenty years or so. Then Sam met a bloke who had lived in a Buddhist monastery and they discussed the deep stuff like 'what is life all about?' Sam started meditating and investigating Eastern spiritual traditions and soon he started writing.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Sam's first book was the enlightening 'Wisdom of the Punk Buddha' and his new book 'A Poke in the Third Eye' follows on from that in the same superbly heartfelt and honest style.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Sam lives in Suffolk with his wife Rachel and their troublesome cats where this good-hearted bookworm of a punk-rocker tries to remain calm and thoughtful.</span></p><p></p>
