A Theology of Religions asks the question what is the theological relationship among the multiplicity of wisdom traditions? Many responses to this question rely on meta-narratives often inadvertently assuming male-centric or imperialistic positions. This work seeks to compensate for these trajectories first by exploring the implications of removing or de-centering universal systems. Through postcolonial feminist theories I deconstruct hegemonic discourses that undermine plurality thereby demonstrating why subverting universal schemes is not only tenable but also indispensible for constructing a religious pluralism that is more de-colonized and gender sensitive.
