A power control strategy to improve power system stability

The book reveals a predictive power control strategy which is used to improve the stability of power systems. This is carried in the presence of wind farms based on Doubly Fed Induction Generator [DFIG] using PID controller and Model Predictive Control [MPC] method. For improving the power system stability an Static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) is used which is a modern power quality Flexible AC Transmission System [FACTS] device that employs a voltage source converter connected in series to a transmission line through a transformer.
