A Rose For Alfred

There were many letters written between Alfred and Rose but the letter he wrote to someone else would be the one he would regret ever writing. We're engaged to be wed said Alfred putting the ring on Rose's finger before holding her at arm's length and dancing 'Ring a Ring a Rosy' round and round until they were both quite dizzy. I'm going to tell the world he said running to the bridge over the river and jumping up onto the parapet he shouted at the top of his voice. I'm engaged to be wed. I love Rosie Fitton.
