A Seminal Study: Literacy Skills Transfer in Heritage Spanish Speakers

With the growing number of Heritage Spanish Speakers in the United States it has become very important to look at how these students learn language. The author looks at literacy skills transfer from L1 to L2 in his seminal study. Heritage Language Learners have become a growing population and it has become very important to know how to best address literacy skills within the K-12 field. Lastly the author provides great insight into next best steps in supporting Heritage Language Learners.
