This 1895 Textbook brought to Britain the ideas of the German neogrammarians. Part I discusses comparative philology and the Indo-German languages in general; part II the specifics of phonetics and phonology in Latin and Greek; and Part III deals with morphology. It remains a useful guide to Indo-European comparative philology.
