A Simpler Path Via Julian of Norwich and Marcus Aurelius

<p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>'A Simpler Path' springs from the belief that organised religion particularly that of Christianity has become over- complicated and burdened by theology and doctrine which actually hinder our spiritual growth. As a solution to this problem two alternatives are offered. </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>The first is to be found in the writings of the Fourteenth Century mystic Dame Julian of Norwich; the second in the Second Century Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>Though springing from different sources I believe that both these alternatives chart a simpler path to self- enlightenment and may be of some help in achieving this goal. </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)> </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)> </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)> </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>A retired history teacher David Conduct now lives in Durham where he taught for over 20 years.
