A Slippery Place

A novel set in Cyprus after the partition of 1974. When Maurice Elder returns to Cyprus where he once taught he uncovers a network of connections from the time of conflict that had been carefully tidied away. His well-meaning desire to uncover the past unwittingly leads him into danger as the truth emerges. Paul Griffin uses his knowledge and understanding of the recent history of Cyprus to expose some of the difficulties of reconciliation after conflict.
