A Sprig of Time

For six years Alicia has had a recurring dream about saying goodbye to a Revolutionary War soldier. Her parents have built a time machine for the purpose of retrieving letters and diaries from the past. She finds her soldier and rescues him from death. But it's not a death on the battlefield; to her surprise he had died on a gallows. Now Nathan Hale has to find a place in this new world. When the scientists decide to rescue Evariste Galois the mathematician who died in a duel at age 20 Nathan is able to ease his transition into the future.
