About the book: This story is about Arletta a young girl full of life yet one day her world came tumbling down around her. All of this happened in an era that did not validate women or children in their time of need. Her only options were to stay with a man she no longer loved. Everyone she thought loved and cherished her turned their back on her at the time she needed them the most. Arletta ultimately ate her soup with a leaky spoon and lived the life she had been dealt. This story is about choices and how oftentimes they are made for you and especially if you are female. It is also about the loss of a human soul and how life can bit by bit move one to mental illness.
